Release notes and roadmap
What's new, and what's next.

Release notes
What we've shipped.
Knowhow ships to production several times a month, shaped by what teams run into in real work. Most of it lands quietly. These are the changes you'd notice, most recent first:
June 2026
- Improved
Faster, more accurate answer editing
The answer editor agent now responds 30-50% faster on average, with better first-try accuracy. We also improved how edit decisions are presented, so you can more easily see the full impact of your contributions on your organization's expertise.
- Improved
Editing sessions you can revisit
Every conversation with the answer editor is now saved as its own session, with an automatic title and a history you can reopen. If your connection drops or you step away mid-edit, your work picks up right where you left it.
- Improved
Smarter answer refresh
Answers refresh more efficiently, regenerating when they're actually viewed instead of running in the background. The history also makes it clearer what changed and why, so it's easier to tell at a glance whether an answer reflects your team's latest knowledge.
- Improved
Clearer contributor credit
The contributors shown on each answer now lead with names and job titles, and fall back to clean initials when someone hasn't added a photo. Credit reads clearly even for teams without profile pictures, and a full roster opens when there are more contributors than fit.
- Improved
More reliable document previews
Source documents now preview reliably inside Knowhow, rendering right in the page. Opening the original document behind an answer works consistently across browsers.
May 2026
- Major
Edit answers by talking
Reviewers now refine answers in a conversation: describe the change in plain language, see the exact edit Knowhow proposes, and approve it. Every change is recorded in the answer's history, and the old form-based contribution flow is retired.
- New
One inbox for questions and reviews
Answers you're waiting on, reviews waiting on you, and feedback from your team now live in a single inbox that updates as things happen. No more silent dead ends.
- New
Feedback that becomes fixes
Anyone can flag an answer that misses the mark. Knowhow groups similar concerns into one clear signal for reviewers, and closes the loop when the fix ships.
- Improved
Smarter ask flow
Asking a question now resolves three honest ways: an existing answer instantly, a draft assembled from knowledge your team already holds (clearly labeled pending review), or a request to your reviewers, with status visible the whole way.
- Improved
Guided tour, rebuilt
The in-app tutorial was rebuilt around the current navigation, so a new team can orient itself in minutes.
April 2026
- New
Team Health and My Impact dashboards
Leaders see where knowledge is concentrated, where the gaps are, and what needs attention. Every contributor sees the reach of what they've shared: views, reactions, and a feed of their contributions.
- New
Ask from anywhere
A global Cmd+K shortcut opens ask and search from any page in the product.
- New
Reactions on answers
Readers mark whether an answer helped, giving reviewers a live signal of which answers are earning trust.
- Improved
Claim pages that show their work
Every claim's detail page now leads with provenance: what your team currently holds true, where it came from, and how it was verified, down to the exact excerpt in the source document.
March 2026
- Major
The claim-based knowledge engine
Knowhow's foundation went live: answers assembled from individual claims, each tied to the people and sources who stand behind it. Update a claim once and every answer built on it follows. Everything since is built on this architecture.
- New
Honest drafts
When no confirmed answer exists, Knowhow drafts what it can from knowledge it already holds and labels it plainly as a draft. You always know whether your experts have confirmed what you're reading.
- New
Documents, fully understood
Knowhow reads the tables and images inside your decks and PDFs, not just the text. A rate card or a process table becomes citable knowledge too.

Coming next
Where we're headed.
Our biggest focus is the conversational experience. We're reshaping the chat agent to lead with conversation: short, instant answers up front, with the rich, expert-backed answer as the backbone you can preview or open in full. The agent is also getting smarter about the questions it asks, clarifying what you meant, checking whether an answer landed, and routing to the right expert when it should.
I don't have a validated answer for this, so I pulled it together from existing sources. Worth confirming before you rely on it:
A new hire's first week covers three things: IT setup (laptop and accounts ready day one), benefits enrollment (complete within 30 days), and team intros (your manager schedules 1:1s across the week).
